Both Romina and AurĂ©lien at ikeahacker came up with some awesome ideas on how to cover up your cat litter box with a stylish piece of furniture, keeping kitty’s space clean and tidy.
Two Chicago-based architects living with their cat created a practical piece of furniture that sits in their modern apartment entry foyer and serves as a bench for sitting and putting on your shoes, a mail area, and kitty litter hide out.
“We came up with solution to hide the cat box: made from the Besta shelf/height extension units and the Besta Holmbo door. We added the Capita legs and inset them for a modern look.”
If by any chance you decide to try this at home, be sure to cut the middle vertical panel in half to allow a hole for the cats to sneak through. Oh, and place some contact paper on the inside for protection and easy cleaning.
Another great idea for a cat litter box furniture is made from the Norrebo storage bench with a cute entrance to the side. All of kitty’s stuff are hidden behind the pull-out drawer which serves as a front panel held in place with magnets and can be easily removed for cleaning.

Hi, Thank you for the great idea! We have the Besta storage combination with the glass back panels. This will be a great add on in our living room. What can you do…You have no place else to put the litter box.
