Unlike plastic and wire crates which sometimes crack and bend, aluminum crates are much more reliable and sturdy. This one, for example, is constructed of aluminum and brown 1/8″ wood laminate paneling, and is surprisingly lightweight. I like the angled design, giving it a modern twist, and making it easier to fit into the back of mini-vans or SUVs when transporting your dog to the vet or going on a family vacation.

This dog crate is secured from every angle; two tie down tabs on the front top corners secure the crate when traveling; an easy to use spring loaded latch secures the door; plastic corner connectors prevent scratching; and multiple openings allow for air ventilation.

To make your pet comfortable, simply throw in a blanket and a small cushion, and you’re good to go.
